The study of mathematics is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
By studying mathematics, students learn to work mathematically – developing understanding and fluency, problem-solving, reasoning and communication skills.
Mathematics K–10 outcomes and their related content are organised in:
- Number and algebra
- Measurement and space
- Statistics and probability
The new Mathematics syllabus K-2 is now being implemented. In 2022 we will be familiarising ourselves with the 3-6 syllabus for implementation in 2024.
