Getting ready for school at Chittaway Bay Public School

Welcome to 'big school'

Starting school is a big milestone for children and their families. The transition to primary school can be both challenging and exciting.

Help your child through the transition by:

  • encouraging them to explore their feelings
  • helping them connect to their school
  • supporting them in building friendships and relationships
  • empowering them to build their confidence and independence.

Kindergarten Orientation

Chittaway Bay Public School's orientation program commences in Term 3. This quality program provides an opportunity for incoming Kindergarten students to become familiar with the school environment and build relationships with teachers and peers. Children will enjoy four fun-filled mornings of stories, games, singing, and dancing.

During this time, parents and carers are invited to attend information sessions to learn more about what their child's schooling experience will be like at Chittaway Bay Public School.

Please contact our office if you have any questions.

Kindergarten Transition

At Chittaway Bay Public School our Kindergarten Orientation Program is designed to gently introduce young children to school life through engaging, hands-on activities that spark creativity and curiosity. This program helps children build confidence, develop social skills, and become familiar with the classroom environment in a fun and supportive setting. By participating in our Orientation program, children are better prepared to start their learning journey with excitement and a sense of belonging.
